Gatecrasher Diary 8-30-10

The slower the process moves, the harder it is to self motivate. It’s a curse but it’s very true of a lot of things. People work very well with instant gratification. It’s the long haul that messes you up. Gatecrasher looks to be the long haul and I’ve gotta find ways to stay motivated and on course. This morning, I just put some more touches on the 3rd song. It was originally called “The Warning Signs Were There” but I didn’t like the perspective. It evolved into “Steady Hand”, which is the story of a political assassin with a clear shot and a moment of hesitation. This song and its two predecessors make up the exposition of Gatecrasher. I’m hopeful that the rising action heats up my creative spark.
